Barbara was born in New London, Connecticut and grew up as the daughter of a Naval officer spending most of her young life moving all over the U.S. with her loving family. 

 Barb's intuitive nature lends greatly to her therapeutic body work and for the past ten years Barb has enjoyed practicing massage in Columbus, Ohio.  Barbara attended and graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.A. in Anthropology. She then attended and completed Reflexology Certification training and Therapeutic Massage training, receiving her massage license in 1995. 

In 1995 Barb ventured to Japan, where for six months, she studied Shiatsu with Kadoya Sensei in Tokyo.

Upon returning from Japan, Barb began a career practicing massage therapy and Shiatsu in Columbus; during her practice Barb was mentored for six years by Machidori Sensei during which she studied the ancient Buddhist techniques of Soku Shin Do and Ra Kuken Ho.

In 2005, Barb traveled to Belize to study with the renowned Dr. Rosita Arvigo and completed the Arvigo Professional level course which primarily focused on the abdominal and sacral areas for both men and women addressing a broad range of conditions such as infertility, misplaced uterus and compressed organs.
